The Maragogype, also known as "The Elephant Bean", is one of the rarest coffee beans in the world. Due to its low yield, only a few plantations in the world continue to grow the Maragogype, with Nicaragua being the single largest remaining producer of this unique Arabica varietal.

    Love this but we think you should include pronunciation under the name.

    I've been calling it marigold! I'm thinking, even tho' someone online suggests it's pronounced with the 'e' accented, there is no accent over the 'e'! Otherwise I call it, mara, go, jip, (or,

    'ji pay')! And the place in Nicaragua spells it with an 'i', not a 'y'! Confusing. Anyway love it. I bought an Espressotoria machine just for it alone.
